Abstract 
本研究期間内では、骨芽細胞と破骨細胞が直接接触することによりカルシウムオシレーション非依存的な破骨細胞分化シグナルが活性化すること、この分化シグナルを誘導する分子は骨芽細胞の膜画分に存在することが明らかとなった。また、骨芽細胞との接触により破骨細胞内のCotkinase(リン酸化酵素)が活性化され、破骨細胞分化のマスター分子であるNFATc1をカルシウム非依存的に活性化する分子機構を明らかにした。これらの結果は、新たなNFATc1活性化機構を通した破骨細胞分化制御機構を発見した、という点で非常に興味深い知見といえる。
