Abstract 
本研究では、神経堤由来の細胞を標識できるトランスジェニックマウスに脊髄損傷モデルを作成することにより、損傷脊髄内におけるシュワン細胞の動態を経時的に評価した。末梢神経の損傷において、シュワン細胞が脱分化/再分化する現象はWaller変性の過程として認識されているが、中枢神経損傷におけるシュワン細胞の可塑性を評価した報告はない。損傷脊髄におけるシュワン細胞の動態を詳細に把握することにより、生体が本来備えている修復機構を明らかにし、中枢神経系の再生医療に結びつけることが本研究の目的である。
