本研究の目的は、社会経済的要因が健康状態に与える因果効果とそのメカニズムを明らかにすることである。本研究の成果として、社会経済的要因の中から主に所得に注目して次の２つの主要な結果が得られた。第一に、短期的な影響として、所得の受取が健康に与える影響は負であることを日本の年金支給の受取に注目して示した。第二に、中期的な影響のメカニズムに関連し、遺産という所得の受取が女性の労働供給に一時的な負の影響があることを示した。これらを含む研究成果は、専門学術誌に投稿するための学術論文という形でまとめると同時に、一般向けの雑誌媒体や書籍の一部として公刊した。
The purpose of this study was to examine the causal effects and mechanisms of socioeconomic factors on health status. The following two main results were obtained from this study, focusing mainly on income among socioeconomic factors. First, as a short-term effect, we show that the impact of income receipt on health is negative, using the receipt of pension payments in Japan as an example. Second, related to the medium-term impact mechanism, we show that the receipt of income in the form of inheritance has a temporary negative impact on women's labor supply. These results were summarized in the form of an academic papers, as well as published as part of a book for the general public.
