フランスで使用されている「共同体主義」概念の意味および用いられる際の意図や文脈を明らかにした。「共同体主義」とは、マジョリティとは異なる出身地域や宗教などの文化的習慣に基づいた共同体などが共和国の原則を受け入れずに閉鎖的にふるまい、特別な権利を主張するといったおおよそ想像上の現象を批判する概念であり、マイノリティを批判する際に使用する政治的コノテーションを持った概念である。「共同体主義」を体現しているとしてたびたび批判されてきたムスリムに関する言説と、「共同体主義」として批判されにくいユダヤ人に関する言説を比較し、「共同体主義」概念の使用において両共同体間で違いがあることを指摘した。
This study elucidates the meaning of the widely used concept of "communautarisme" in France, as well as the intentions and contexts in which it is employed."Communautarisme" refers to a critical notion that points to real or imagined phenomena where ethnic groups, based on cultural practices such as region of origin or religion, behave in a closed manner and claim special rights without accepting the principles of the Republic, such as equality and secularism. In other words, it is a concept used by the majority to criticize minorities, and it has strong political connotations. To analyze the use of this concept, the study compares discourses about Muslims, who have often been criticized for embodying "communautarisme," with discourses about Jews, who share unique cultural practices but are not criticized as communautarist. This comparison highlights the differences in the use of the concept of "communautarisme" between these two communities.
