| Abstract |
低酸素虚血性脳症と脳室周囲白質軟化症は，分娩時の脳虚血により脳神経細胞が低酸素に陥ることで発生する．これらは，脳性麻痺へと進行し脳神経細胞に不可逆的な障害をもたらす．我々は，これまでに，低酸素虚血性脳症マウスモデルの鼻腔内に羊水幹細胞を移植して，脳性麻痺への進行を予防する可能性を見出してきた．
今回，我々は，脳室周囲白質軟化症モデルラットを作製し，羊水幹細胞をマウスの腹腔内に投与し治療効果の検討を行った．その結果，投与した羊水幹細胞が腹腔内で凝集体を形成し，脳障害を抑制する可能性が示唆された．
Neuronal hypoxic damages induced by cerebral ischemia during delivery evoke hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy and periventricular leukomalacia(PVL), which leads to cerebral palsy characterized by irreversible neuronal damages.
In this study, we investigated the effect of intraperitoneal administration of human amniotic fluid stem cell (hAFSC) on rat model of PVL and found that hAFSC could reduce neuroinflammation and prevent the progression from PVL to cerebral palsy. We also found that hAFSCs aggregated in the peritoneal cavity and might enhance their effect.
