| Abstract |
SIRT3ノックアウトマウスの網膜における解析は60週齢に至るまで解析したが, 明らかな表現型は検出されなかった。しかしながら, 光照射後の網膜変性は野生型におけるものと比べて明らかに重篤であった。その際にはより多くの活性酸素種が組織内に蓄積し, ミトコンドリアの電子顕微鏡における形態の異常を伴っていた。
SIRT3 knock out mice showed no obvious phenotype in the retina until 60 weeks old. However, they showed more severe light induced retinal degeneration compared with wild type mice. The levels of reactive oxygen species were higher and mitochondria had abnormality detected by electron microscopy after light exposure in the knock out mice.
