Abstract |
As we move forwards further into the 21st century Japan needs to harness its existing high potential and make good use of its established higher educational and research facilities. This investment in higher education will undoubtedly pay dividends as the brightest minds of the future are enabled to achieve their full potential. This we envision must lead to future technological advances to meet both economic and, with an aging generation, necessary healthcare requirements. In an effort to meet both these aspirations, here we describe the instigation of the Japan Science and Technology Agency's Global Science Campus project at Keio University, a project designed with the aim to inspire highly motivated and talented high school students into becoming the next generation of world leading medical and surrounding field scientists. We started the Japan-Swedish high school student communication projects in 2015. We report the Swedish high school student inviting project in 2015 summer. This project has been carried out primarily by the company sponsorship.
