| Abstract |
本稿は筆者の日本橋街並み商業史の研究の延長線上で,前稿の村松町や久松町に続き,その南に広がる浜町という武家地から明治に町になった界隈の街並みについて,その史的特徴を綴ったものである。特にここでは,その中で浜町1丁目が江戸時代どんな武家地であったか,またそれがいかに町の構成に影響して,東西の地区に個性を与えてきたか,更に隣の町,浜町2丁目と比較しつつ,明治になってからの街並みと商業のいくつかの特徴を例証し抽出する。そしてこの町の明治末年の土地所有者をみて,そこにおける特徴を明示したあと,明治中期と末期のこの
