| Abstract |
本稿では, 日本の財政学における「近代財政」の概念について再検討する。「近代財政」にある程度一致した認識はあるものの, 何をもって「近代」とするか, という基準は必ずしも明確ではないことが明らかとなった。一方, 1990年代以降に盛んとなった西洋史における「近代」財政史研究を見ていくことで, 「財政国家」概念, 財政制度の中央集権制の問題など, 財政学においてこれまで十分に検討されてこなかった論点が存在することがわかった。
