20世紀には世界戦争や民族虐殺のような破局的な暴力が噴出した。この暴力の噴出において広義の警察機構がこの暴力の最先端で機能していた。しかし現代社会においても監視と規律化が最重要な課題の一つとされ, テロル・暴力に対して国家の暴力独占は正当化されているようである。現代における国家の暴力は, 歴史的にみると, ナチスの暴力実践とどのような位置関係にあるといえるのか。比較史の観点から, ナチス・ドイツの警察による住民支配のあり様を20世紀ドイツ史の中に位置づけて考察する。
In the 20th century, catastrophic violence such as global wars and ethnic massacres erupted. 
In the eruption of this violence, police mechanisms, in a broad sense of the meaning, functioned at the cutting-edge of this violence.
However, even in modern society, monitoring and discipline are considered among the most important themes as terrorism and violence seem to justify the state monopoly on violence. 
This study examines how the practice of violence under the Nazis is positioned vis-a-vis contemporary state violence when viewed historically from the viewpoint of comparative history, through the depiction of residents controlled by Nazi Germany police, an event that marked 20th century German history.
