| Abstract |
インドネシアはスハルト政権誕生とともに外資導入を開始し, 日本も投資に参入した。繊維産業への日本の投資がインドネシアの伝統的な繊維産業を倒産に追い込み, それに対する反感が1974年の反日暴動の遠因の1つになったといわれてきた。しかし現地における調査の結果, 「外国」資本ではなく国内華人資本に対する制約緩和政策による影響のほうがより直接的であったことが判明した。
With the commencement of the Suharto regime in Indonesia, foreign capital was introduced along with Japanese investment.
Japanese investment in the textile industry led to the eventual bankruptcy of Indonesia's traditional textiles industry and is said that opposition to it was one of the remote causes for the anti-Japanese riots of 1974.
However, results of on-site investigation clarified that, rather than "foreign" capital, deregulation of domestic Chinese capital had a more direct effect.
