本稿では「日本帝国主義勢力圏都市の形成及び膨張の比較史」という視角から1930年代の永登浦工場地帯の形成を日本内大企業の進出過程を中心に検討する。永登浦工場地帯の形成は, 京城（人口）の膨張とそれに伴う工業製品への需要増大, 日本内地の経済統制と満州国の建国による朝鮮の工業化, などの諸条件が整ってからのことであった。それに優れた立地条件と氾濫の危惧を払拭した防水堤の完工は工場建設を促進した。
This study considers the formation of the Young Deung Po factory district in the 1930s from the perspective of "Comparative History of Formation and Expansion of Cities under the Sphere of Influence of Japanese Imperialism," primarily investigating the process through which large Japanese corporations on the mainland advanced into Korea. 
The Young Deung Po factory district could have been formed due to the convergence of various factors such as the increase in demand for industrial goods associated with the expansion of Gyeongseong (population), economic controls in inland Japan, and the industrialization of the Korean peninsula due to the establishment of Manchukuo, and so on. 
In addition, excellent location conditions and the completion of a flood-prevention embankment, which dispelled fears of flooding, contributed toward plant construction.
