本稿は主著『経済学提要』公刊の100周年にちなんで, パレートの純粋経済理論における業績の評価を試み, 併せてその学問体系全般に対する案内マップの役割の一端をも担うことを目指したものである。その貢献の主要なトピックとしてはパレート法則, 序数的効用, 積分可能性, スルツキー方程式, 厚生経済学の基本定理, 社会的厚生関数などを順次にとり上げ, また社会学体系の梗概についても簡単ながら言及する。
In honor of the 100th anniversary of the important publication "Manuale di Economia Politica," this paper assesses performance of Pareto in the field of the pure economic theory, while also intending to partially fulfill the role of a guide map to the entire system of his discipline. 
As major topics of his contributions, Pareto law, ordinal utility, integrability, Slutsky equation, the fundamental theorem of welfare economics, and the social welfare function are tackled sequentially, along with simple mention of an outline for his sociology system.
