温州における原蓄の特徴は, 小零細企業の担う情報が原蓄要素として中心的役割を果たし, 行政権力や外国企業に経営資源獲得を依存しない「下から」の資本制化の道を進んできた点にある。現在, 温州産業は機械制大工業の端緒段階に到達し, それと共に, 早くも大企業の形成（垂直統合型とグループ型）が見られる一方, 中小企業は「低賃金に依存する中小企業」, 「労働管理の革新に成功した中小企業」, 「独自市場構築に成功している中小企業」へと階層分化している。
