In April 2009, I joined the Faculty of Letters at Keio University, specializing in Sociology, and taught for 15years. I retired in March 2024, and the following month, I received a request from Professor Yasutsugu Ogura, a member of the editorial board, asking me to have someone write a paper for me.
Without hesitation, I decided to ask three young researchers to contribute. These three were graduate students I had worked with during their master’s and doctoral studies.
Ideally, I would have contributed new research results alongside them in the form of a paper, and I began preparations with that goal in mind. However, I was unable to complete the preparations in time. The reason for this is that I struggled to adjust to my new life after retirement, which made it difficult to focus on writing the paper. I have decided to prepare the paper for publication in next year’s regular issue, and here I will briefly summarize my research to date.
