Recently, educational control has been increased on schooling by the educational authority, while various inconveniences such as 'school violence' and 'delinquency' have increased. It seems that modern educational system has exposed its weak point and even the symptom of collapse. In this paper, based on such serious matters, I argue the duplication of the educational control both inside and outside of the institutionalized education. The former is concerned with mainly schooling, the latter home education. Educational control is accomplished effectively on schooling through the invisible control to the mind of the people by the national power. And the national power, based on the industrial mode of production, has transformed the vernacular activities to the institutionalized ones, and, as a result, the socialized people try to adapt themselves to the mode of industrialized life positively. The modern educational system was built upon the industrialized society. From this point of view, we can criticize the 'Lifelong Education' theory designed in the contexts of meritocracy on the modern educational system. I think, above all, I. Illich has raised the new paradigm in proposing institutional inversion to convivial mode of production, and the radical thoughts which excel the present educational controversies. Here we can get a critical point of view against the modern educational system in the industrial society.
