I have tried in this paper to investigate the apprehension method as a methodology of the human science, especially of psychology. And this investigation has been done through textual criticism of the concept of Ryokai in the Round-table Psychology advanced by Sato, M., Kamio, A. and Ono, T.. (1) I have pointed out the ambiguities of the concept of Ryokai in the Round-table Psychology, and then criticized. (2) Furthermore, their idea of Round-table Psychology has been criticized because of its subjectivism and operationalism. (3) Then, Ryokai as an ordinary Japanese word has been analyzed, and the human apprehension function as an aspect of the understanding functions has been examined. (4) Last, I have advocated that the Communicationology as a methodology of the humam science, and have suuggested a scheme for the basic communication process.
