There are two main problems in this paper : 1. Some problems about cultural structure of Great Britain. 2. Cultural activities in communities. I may set next four frame of references for study of cultural structure and change. These are 'group', 'community', 'class and stratification', and 'generation'. Now I think it may be main tasks for sociology of culture to study structure, function, and change of culture in connection with society and personality. In Cultural Anthropology or Social Anthropology 'national character' is a key concept for comparative study of culture. But from the sociological points of view it seems to me a fundamental problem to study process of formation and structure of 'national culture'. In Britain we may find strong 'regionalism' : Scotch nationalism or Welsh. Then some problems of national culture are as follows : 1. Relation between use of language and formation of national culture. 2. Cultural contact and intercourse of many cultures. 3. Process of integration of local cultures. 4. Role of intellectual in their relation to national culture. Viewing from aspects of behavioral or explicit (overt) culture in Britain there are many cultural and social activities in communities. I may classify these activities into recreational, educational, charitable, social, and business or professional activities. Of these activities social and cultural (educational) activities of youth group or club are especially notable. So it is easy to find 'youth culture' in Britain. I think these many cultural and social activities are some aspects or elements of British national culture.
