Abstract |
In the year 1800 Hegel wrote a manuscript that summed up his views to that time. It is so called "Fragment of a system of 1800." W. Dilthey and H. Nohl insist that Hegel had his philosophical system in this manuscript already. Th. Hearing is against them. We try to stand on the side of Dilthey and Nohl, and to show that the dialectic Hegel distablished later, is germinating in this manuscript. We find 4 propositions in it as follows: 1) Life is the union of union and nonunion. 2) Infinite life is a spirit. 3) Religion is a elevation from finite life to infinite life. 4) The greater and the more isolated the inner sphere, the greater and the more isolated the outer sphere. Hegel critisized Fichte's Ego by 4th proposition. People in Germany who were represented by Fichte could hardly realized "true life". They were as unhappy as Jewry, so called "Unhappy people." Hegel was anxious to recover "true life" for them. He had "life" as a fundamental notion in this manuscript, and his dialectic idea is noticed in this life. This manuscript is worth notice, because of that all of his philosophy are germinated in it, though young Hegel did not find reason (Vernunft) which supposed to be able to get " life."
