This paper discusses upon the "Causal-effectLogic" and "narratives" of magico-religiousritualsof "GANOU" people , a sub - branch of "Miao" (苗) ethnic group in GUIZHOU (貴州) province in Southeast China. "GANOU" people conduct several kinds of divination rituals mainly as the first step to cure disease and to get a solution of problems, so that we examine these rituals in the perspectives of the social anthropology, These rituals are practiced respectively in traditional villages and in a regular market by the local ethnic groups including different sub-ethnic groups. The purpose of this paper is to clarify that the cause of misfortune and disease are related to the effect of particular spirit in the local knowledge sustained among "GANOU," people. The practice of sacrifice used for the solution of some problems in daily life is mainly conducted by religious practitioners "ASHAN" as divination ritual, It is also to illustrate that the context of local community and the individual narrative are the important points to understand "Causal-effect Logic" and we examine the context of the local practice changing under the process of social transformation . Finally, the omparative analysis of divination rituals and narratives are necessary to apply the "Causal-effect Logic" as an anthropological methodology.
