| Abstract |
スコラ哲学者グローステストは、世界創造の際の「光あれ」の聖書解釈を通じて、「光の形而上学」をうちたてた。そこでは、彼は、動的作用的性質とその多化の働きを「光」に見いだし、「光」が、一方では、霊的な性質に近いものの、他方では「物体的形相性」でもあることで、創造による被造世界全体を同質的にとらえるに至った。これは新プラトン主義的な「光の一性と多性」の思想系譜に沿った解釈であり、その淵源は、彼にとっては教父であった。とくにバシレイオスには、被造界全体を価値づける「世界は美しい」の言説があり、これを、バシレイオスの「光あれ」解釈と共に受容することでグローステストは、世界肯定的な「光の形而上学/光の美学」を構築することにもなった。
