The prime purpose of this paper is to show the crucial role of the ADR mechanism in the criminal procedure and its significance to the society as a part of comprehensive justice system of a state. Within these pages of research, a meticulous examination unfolds, unfurling the intricate tapestry of various ADR mechanisms delving into the nuanced dynamics of law upholding access to justice ensuring the rule of—their inherent virtues, their challenges, and their potential impact on the delicate fabric of the criminal justice system. Through a comparative analysis of ADR implementation in the criminal justice systems of Bangladesh and other jurisdictions, this study investigates the core objectives, challenges, and transformative potential of ADR. Emphasizing the need for a cautious approach to voluntary party involvement to prevent perceptions of coercion, the research underscores the importance of clear procedures thorough reviews to address any allegations of external influence.
