Abstract
This note extends the concept of factor intensity to include any number of productive factors and products. The proposed measure is the Euclidean distance from the unit value of each factor to the intersection of product intensity rays with the unit factor hyperplane. Factor intensity distance is a generalization of the two dimensional definition. An example of factor intensity distance in US manufacturing with 7 factors and 8 products is presented and the potential of factor intensity distance in empirical applications is discussed.
