| Abstract |
This paper is concerned with estimating the degree of returns to scale in seven major branches of New Zealand manufacturing industry using different production functions. The results obtained reveal that different production function specifications give very similar, if not identical, results. The estimated production functions consistently suggest constant returns to scale in all major branches of New Zealand manufacturing industry.
