本研究では、当初の予定を大きくこえる成果を生みだすことができた。まず、日本語ラップの言語学的な分析やラップを大学教育で扱う意義などをまとめた書籍として『言語学的ラップの世界』を東京書籍から出版した。本書では、ラッパー三人との対談を収録しており、共著者として現役のラッパーMummy-D氏などが参加している。さらには、本書の出版に伴い言語学をテーマとしたラップも制作し、研究世界の内部に留まらない成果を生みだすこととなった。

また、ゴスペラーズの北山陽一氏との共同研究も進み、いくつかの具体的な成果につながった。まず、さだまさしの曲における単語アクセントとメロディーに関する分析が『さだまさし解体新書』（大和書房、2024年）に掲載された。また、共著の『絵本　うたうからだのふしぎ』が講談社より発売された（まんが：牧村久実）。同書では、音声学の基礎である肺や声帯の仕組みを説明するため、空気たちが体内を旅するという擬人化を用いた手法で描き、好評を得ている。こちらの絵本に対しても北山氏が楽曲を制作し、史上初の音声学の歌が誕生した。また、関連記事も複数出版された。

上記3冊書籍すべてに重版が年度内かかっている。また、ラジオや人気YouTubeチャンネル『ゆる言語学ラジオ』などにも出演し、言語学研究の重要性を広く知らしめる機会を得た。

歌人の俵万智氏やMummy-D氏、声優の山寺宏一氏らとの対談をまとめた『日本語の秘密』も講談社現代新書から発売された。同書の中では、言語学的な分析が詩やラップなどの言語芸術に光を当てられることが論じられている。また、3月16日には俵氏とMummy-D氏を招いた鼎談イベントも開催し、好評を得た。

城南海氏が歌唱時に用いる「こぶし」についても分析を進め、日本英語学会およびTheoretical Linguistics at Keioにて発表をおこなった。また、この分析の一部を慶應義塾大学言語文化研究所の紀要に掲載した。
This research proposal resulted in far more outcomes than originally planned. First of all, I published a book (『言語学的ラップの世界』) from 東京書籍, which includes my linguistic analysis of rap lyrics in Japanese rap songs, as well as the discussion of why it is useful to use the hiphop culture as a topic in higher education classes. This book is featuring four rappers, and is accompanied by an original rap song. This is a unprecedented outcome that goes well beyond the academia.

Collaborative projects with 北山陽一 also went well. First of all, we analyzed the interaction between the word-level pitch accent patterns and song melodies in a song by さだまさし, the result of which was published in 『さだまさし解体新書』. We also published a picture book (『うたうからだのふしぎ』) which is intended to illustrate the physiology of the lung, the vocal tract and oral/nasal cavities. It made use of a personification method common in the Japanese anime culture. This book too was accompanied by an original song.

As a result of these publications, I had several opportunities to talk about these projects in radio segments as well as in some YouTube channels.

Another book was published, which contained academic conversations with 俵万智（a poet）and 山寺宏一（a voice actress）and others. The book illustrates how linguistic analyses can shed light on patterns of verbal art. I have also organized a public event with 俵万智 and Mummy-D (a rapper), which was extremely successful, attracting more than 300 audience.

We finally analyzed patterns of "kobushi", a singing technique that 城南海 uses in her songs, and presented a part of the analyses at the English Linguistic Society of Japan and the Theoretical Linguistics at Keio. A part of the results also appeared in the working paper volume of the institute.
