新型コロナウイルスの蔓延を契機に、これまで対面で行われてきたコミュニケーションが劇的にリモートに拡大するなか、リモートのコミュニケーションによって生じる違和感、従来との差異に対する抵抗感を克服し、従来培ってきたメソッドを深化させる機会として、本研究では、これまでリモートによって生じる問題点を明らかにしてきた蓄積を用いて、その克服、新たなリモート・オーラル・ヒストリーの実践の方策を構築することに注力した。
オーラルヒストリーをはじめとするインタビューの方法論は、長い経験を持つベテランの研究者によって書かれることが多く、初学者が学ぶには適していないことが多いという問題点を踏まえ、これまで行ってきたオーラルヒストリーワークショップの成果をまとめるかたちで、昨年2月に「『開かれたオーラルヒストリー』の実践と方法」（桑原武夫・清水唯一朗編『総合政策学の方法論的展開』慶應義塾大学出版会、2023年）を公表した。本年度はここで書かれた内容に、学内外での実践を重ねた。とりわけ、山形大学人文社会科学部で行われている「地域の記憶を残し隊！」を中心とした学部生の取り組みには、リモート講義ののち、対面講義とワークショップを行い、経験豊富な弊ゼミの学生も参加してメソッドの伝え方を実践し、経験と知見を重ねることができた。また、土門蘭氏（インタビュアー）、岸政彦氏（社会学者）、代田七瀬氏（文化人類学者）にも講義とワークショップをお願いし、メソッドのブラッシュアップに努めた。長野県小布施町で予定していたインタビューが話し手の方が逝去されたことで中断したことは痛恨であったが、同地をはじめてとして、さらなる実践と交流の場を検討していきたい。
来年度は本研究の内容をテキストとして刊行し、さらに広く活用してもらう予定である。研究の成果をしっかりとかたちにしていきたい。
The spread of the new coronavirus has triggered a dramatic expansion of face-to-face communication to remote communication, and this study was conducted as an opportunity to overcome the sense of discomfort and resistance to differences that arise from remote communication, and to deepen the methods developed in the past. Recognising the problem that interviewing methodologies, including oral history, are often written by experienced researchers with many years of experience and are often not suitable for beginners to learn, we published the following book last February as a summary of the results of the oral history workshops we have conducted to date. In February last year, we published "The Practice and Method of 'Opened Oral History'" (Takeo Kuwahara and Yuichiro Shimizu (eds.), Methodological Development of Policy Management, Keio University Press, 2023). This year we have been applying the contents of this book to practice both inside and outside the university. In particular, we participated in undergraduate student initiatives centred on "Preserving Local Memories!" at the Yamagata University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and other undergraduate students at the Yamagata University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, we gave remote lectures followed by face-to-face lectures and workshops, and experienced students from our seminar also participated in the practice of teaching the method, thus gaining experience and knowledge. We also asked Ran Domon (Interviewer), Masahiko Kishi (Sociologist) and Nanase Shirota (Anthropologist) to give lectures and workshops to refresh our methods. Although it was unfortunate that the interview scheduled for Obuse, Nagano Prefecture, had to be cancelled due to the death of the speaker, we would like to consider further opportunities for practice and exchange, starting with Obuse.
In the next fiscal year, we plan to publish the contents of this research as a textbook for wider use. We want to give shape to the results of our research.
