2023年度学事振興資金の助成を受けて「ドイツ文学と法ー18世紀から現代まで」のテーマで研究を進め、その成果としてまず小倉孝誠（編）『批評理論を学ぶ人のために』（世界思想社、2023年）に収録されたコラム「法と文学」執筆した。同コラムでは、アイスキュロス『エウメニデス』 やソフォクレス『オイディプス王』『アンティゴネー』をはじめとする古代ギリシャ悲劇から、ゲーテやカフカといったドイツの古典的な「詩人法律家」（オイゲン・ヴォールハウプター）を経て、現代ドイツ小説（たとえばシュリンク『朗読者』やフォン・シーラッハ『コリーニ事件』）にいたるまで、さまざまな実例をあげつつ、法と文学がどのように関わりあうかを概観した。
また、シンポジウム「文学批評―その理論と展望」（2023年7月7日、慶應義塾大学三田キャンパス）にて「法と文学―コルネリア・フィスマンの理論を手がかりに」という題目で発表を行なった。本発表では、日本ではまだほとんど知られていないドイツのメディア理論家コルネリア・フィスマンの『書類―メディア技術と法』 や『司法のメディア』 の理論を紹介しつつ、文学と法の関係を体系的に論じるための枠組みについて考察した。フィスマンが構想した、裁判を闘技性と演劇性から把握する理論は、文学と法の緊密な関係性をとらえることを可能にすることを論じた。本発表ではまた、フィスマンに影響を与えた先駆的な理論としてヴァルター・ベンヤミン『ドイツ悲劇の根源』とミシェル・フーコー「真理と裁判形態」も紹介した。
くわえて本塾文学部の授業でも、秋学期の講義「ドイツ文化史」において「ドイツ文学と法」のテーマを取り上げた。ここでは、上記の作家や理論家のほか、『オイディプス王』をパロディー化した喜劇『壊れがめ』のクライスト、探偵小説の先駆けである『スキューデリー嬢』を書いたホフマン、裁判記録をもとに戯曲『ヴォイツェク』を書いたビューヒナーなどの「詩人法律家」もとりあげた。
With the support of the 2023 Academic Promotion Fund, I made significant progress in my research about "German Literature and Law – From the 18th Century to the Present." First, I authored the article "Law and Literature," included in "Introduction to Literary Theory" (Kosei Ogura (ed.), Sekaishisosha, 2023). In this article, I provided an overview of the relationship between law and literature, ranging from ancient Greek tragedies such as Aeschylus' "The Eumenides" and Sophocles' "Oedipus Rex" and "Antigone", through classical texts of German "poet lawyers" (Eugen Wohlhaupter, 1953–1957) like Goethe and Kafka, to contemporary German novels such as Schlink's "The Reader" and von Schirach's "The Collini Case".

At the symposium "Literary Criticism – Its Theory and Prospects," held at Keio University in July 2023, I presented under the title "Law and Literature – Insights from Cornelia Vismann's Theory." In this presentation, I introduced the theories of Cornelia Vismann, a German media theorist unknown in Japan, from her works "Files – Media Technology and Law" and "The Media of Jurisdiction". Discussing frameworks for systematically examining the relationship between literature and law, I argued that Vismann's theory of understanding trials through their aspects of competition and theatricality enables capturing the intimate relationship between literature and law. Additionally, I introduced Walter Benjamin's monograph "The Origin of German Tragic Drama" and Michel Foucault's lecture "Truth and Judicial Forms" as pioneering works that influenced Vismann.

I addressed the theme of "German Literature and Law" in the fall semester course "German Cultural History." Here, in addition to the aforementioned authors and theorists, I discussed "poet lawyers" such as Heinrich von Kleist, who parodied "Oedipus Rex" in "The Broken Jug", E.T.A. Hoffmann, who wrote the pioneering detective novel "Mademoiselle de Scuderi", and Georg Büchner, who wrote the drama "Woyzeck" based on court records.
