データ収集・分析:
2023年4〜5月、7〜8月、11〜12月、2024年2〜3月のウガンダ共和国カプチョーワおよびエンテベでのフィールドワークで、主にChebet Francis氏からクプサビニィ語のデータを、2023年8月、2024年1〜2月のエチオピア連邦民主共和国アワーサでのフィールドワークで、主にGenene Gudura氏からシダーマ語のデータを採り、彼らとともに分析をした。
日本にいる間は彼らからオンラインでデータを採った。

書記体系の開発:
シダーマ語の書記体系はある程度確立しているため、The Oxford Handbook of Ethiopian Languagesの章において、書記体系の問題を指摘した。
クプサビニィ語の書記体系は聖書の翻訳で使われ始めた段階であり、問題点が多い。これらの問題点に関して、Kupsapiiny Language Board & Kupsapiiny Language Development and Preservation Foundationに指摘をした。

論文発表・投稿:
シダーマ語の文法の記述をした章を含む書籍（The Oxford Handbook of Ethiopian Languages）が2023年4月に出版された。
クプサビニィ語とシダーマ語の空間移動表現の実験的研究の論文2編を書籍のチャプターとして出版が決まり、現在印刷中である。
国際査読ジャーナルに因果関係・使役に関する論文を2編投稿して、その1編は出版が決定し、もう1編は査読審査を受けている。
2022年に空間移動表現に関する国際学会で発表した論文2編を、方向ダイクシスに関する論文1編を、移動動詞についての論文1編を、書籍のチャプターとして投稿した。
クプサビニィ語とシダーマ語の文法の原稿を修正し続けている。

学会発表:
学会発表としては、2023年5月の日本アフリカ学会第60回学術大会でクプサビニィ語のassociated motion構文の通時的発展についての発表を、2023年8月のRole and Reference Grammarの学会で使役構文意味と形態統語の関係に関する発表を、2024年2月にリヨンの言語類型論の研究所 (Le Laboratoire Dynamique Du Langage, CNRS and Université Lumière Lyon 2) で移動類型論の文脈でのassociated motionについての発表を行った。その他、研究会においてもクプサビニィ語とシダーマ語に関する発表を行った。
Data collection and analysis:
I collected data from my main Kupsapiiny consultant, Chebet Francis, during my fieldtrips to Kapchorwa and Entebbe (April-May, July-August, November-December 2023, February-March 2024), and my main Sidaama consultants, Genene Gudura, during my fieldtrips to Hawassa, Ethiopia (August 2023, January-February 2024), and analyzed the data with them.
While I was in Japan, I collected data from them online.

Development of the writing systems:
The writing system for Sidaama is already established to some extent. I pointed out problems with it in my chapter of the Oxford Handbook of Ethiopian Languages.
On the other hand, the writing system of Kupsapiiny only recently started to be used for Bible translation, and it has a number of problems. I pointed them out to the Kupsapiiny Language Board & Kupsapiiny Language Development and Preservation Foundation.

Papers
The book volume to which I contributed a grammatical sketch of Sidaama (The Oxford Handbook of Ethiopian Languages) was published in April 2023.
The book volume to which I contributed two chapters on experimental studies with speakers of Kupsapiiny and Sidaama (Motion event descriptions from a cross-linguistic perspective, Volume 1. De Gruyter Mouton) is now in press and is going to be published in 2024.
I submitted two papers on causative constructions to an international refereed journal in January 2023. One of them was accepted for publication and the other is still under review.
I also submitted four book chapters (mainly on directional deixis and motion verbs).
I have also continued to revise the grammars of Kupsapiiny and Sidaama.

Presentations
I gave four conference presentations: (1) Grammaticalization of deictic-directional verbs into prior associated motion proclitics in Kupsapiiny, (2) Causatives cluster semantically by juncture level across languages (Erika Bellingham et al.), (3) Gender marking on definite and indefinite noun phrases in Swedish (with Tatjana Ilic), and (4) Associated motion in the context of Talmy’s motion typology.
