COVID-19 蔓延下における看護教育と臨地実習等への影響を学生と教員の認識により評価することを目的に、2021年にアジア10 カ国の看護系大学による共同研究が実施された。調査項目は、「個人に関する項目」のほか、「急性ストレス反応に関する尺度」「自信尺度」「首尾一貫感覚尺度」「精神的健康のポジティブな側面の尺度」「全般性不安障害尺度」「COVID-19 に対する知識・態度に関する質問項目」等が含まれ、データはウェブ調査システムのSurvey Moncky を用いて収集された。
日本からの参加は慶應義塾大学看護医療学部の1校であった。国際共同研究の成果が国際学術誌に掲載され、各国のデータについて対象校が希望する場合は、独自の解析とその結果の発表が可能となったので、特に、看護医療学部の学生のCOVID-19 蔓延下における看護教育と臨地実習への影響について分析を実施した。
アンケート調査は、2・3・4年生が対象で、2年生28人、3年生21人、4年生46人、合計95人が参加した。COVID-19蔓延下での負の心理的影響を示す指標としての「急性ストレス障害」については、学年が低いほど「急性ストレス障害」に晒されている傾向にあった。さらに、COVID-19による学業上の苦痛と研究に集中することの困難さを感じている学生は、そのような苦痛や困難のない学生に比べて「急性ストレス障害」のリスクが高いことが示された。また、「自信」のある学生は「精神的健康のポジティブな側面」も高いが、「自信」が低い学生は「全般性不安障害」が高い傾向にあった。「精神的健康のポジティブな側面」が高い学生は「首尾一貫性感覚」も高かった。学生の「自信」を高めるにはあらゆるサポートが有効であることも明らかになった。これらの結果は2篇の英語論文にまとめ、国際共同研究の主宰者とも調整しながら国際学術誌に発表する予定である。
A collaborative study of nursing colleges in 10 Asian countries was conducted in 2021 to assess the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on nursing education and clinical practice, etc., as perceived by students and teachers. The survey items included items on the individual, as well as a scale on "Stanford Acute Stress Reaction Questionnaire", "Confidence Scale", "Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale", "Mental health continuum Scale", "Sense of Coherence Scale" and questions on knowledge and attitudes towards COVID-19, with data collected using the web-based survey system Data were collected using the web-based survey system Survey Moncky.
The only Japanese participant was the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care at Keio University. As the results of the international joint research were published in an international journal and the data from each country could be independently analysed and the results published if the target school wished, an analysis was conducted on the impact on nursing education and clinical practice under the COVID-19 epidemic, particularly for students from the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care.
A total of 95 students (28 second-year students, 21 third-year students and 46 fourth-year students) participated in the questionnaire survey, with the lower-year students tending to be more exposed to 'acute stress disorder' as an indicator of the negative psychological impact under the COVID-19 epidemic. Furthermore, students experiencing academic distress and difficulty concentrating on their research due to COVID-19 showed a higher risk of 'acute stress disorder' than students without such distress or difficulty. Students with higher 'confidence' also had higher 'positive aspects of mental health', while those with lower 'confidence' tended to have higher 'generalised anxiety disorder'. Students with higher 'positive aspects of mental health' also had a higher 'sense of coherence'. It was also found that all kinds of support were effective in increasing 'self-confidence' for students. These results have been summarised in two academic papers in English and are being prepared for publication in international journals in coordination with the lead researcher of the international collaboration.
