本研究は、SFCで開講されている「日本語インテンシブ３・４」のクラスの一部の「自律型クラス」について、オンライン授業においても「自律型クラス」を取り入れた場合、どのような授業実践が可能なのか、オンライン授業という形態をいかした実践方法は何か、またどのような授業実践が学生のメタ認知能力の育成につながるのかを明らかにすることである。「自律型クラス」とは、学生が個別に設定した目標、計画、評価方法に従って学習するスタイルをとる授業である。オンライン授業においては、従来のように教室で各自が個別に学習する方法をとらず、各自の学習は授業外に行い、授業では一週間の学習の報告と学習方法についてzoomのブレークアウトセッションでグループに分かれてディスカッションをしたり、全体で共有したり発表したりする方法をとった。調査では、研究協力に同意した学生の毎週の学習記録、学期終了時の任意のアンケート調査結果と、インタビューの文字起し資料を分析した。オンラインでの「自律型クラス」を学生がどう受け止めたかについては、学生の評価は概ね高かった。また、学習記録とアンケート分析結果から、オンライン授業においても、学生が選択する学習内容に差異はあまり生じなかったが、学習のために利用するリソースはオンライン化により多様化したことがわかった。また、インタビューデータの分析結果からは、学生が、自律型クラスは、「学習計画の立て方」「新たな学習方法」を知ることができ、「自分に必要な日本語力向上」をさせると認識していることがわかった。メタ認知の育成において、学習方略についての知識と自己の学習をモニターする力は不可欠である。その双方をオンライン「自律型クラス」でも促進できるという示唆を得た。今後授業は対面とオンラインのハイフレックス式授業に移行していくが、本調査から明らかになったことをハイフレックス式授業でも実践していきたい。
This research was conducted to investigate the potential of online "autonomous class" in Intensive Japanese 3 and 4 classes offered at SFC. It examines what kind of class practices would be possible in an online "autonomous class" and what practices will lead to the development of students' metacognitive abilities. An "autonomous class" is a class in which students learn according to individually set goals, plans, and evaluation methods. In the online class, instead of studying in the classroom, each student's study was conducted outside of class. In class, students reported on their study over the week and discussed their study methods in groups in breakout sessions in the zoom, and shared or presented their findings to the class. The study analyzed the weekly study records and the result of the end-of-semester questionnaire and transcribed interview materials of students who agreed to cooperate in the study. Students' evaluations of how they perceived the online "autonomous class" were generally high. The learning records and questionnaire analysis results also showed that students' learning content choices did not differ much in the online classes. However, their resources for studying were more diverse with the move to online. In addition, the results of the interview data analysis showed that students perceived the autonomous class as a way to learn "how to make a study plan" and "new ways of learning" and to "improve their Japanese language ability necessary for themselves." Knowledge of learning strategies and the ability to monitor one's learning is essential in developing metacognition, and the results suggest that these can be promoted in online "autonomous class." As we move to a Hybrid-Flexible of face-to-face and online classes, new challenges will arise, but the findings from this study should contribute to "autonomous class " in a Hybrid-Flexible style as well.
