Each of the joint research members conducted study on the topics listed below.

Due to the pandemic of Covid-19 we could not conduct many surveys on foreign Muslim tourists and Japanese tourist-related industries providing survices to them, instead, we just focused on the survey on Japanese and foreign Muslims living in Japan. The following is the list of the places where we visited and conducted interviews and participant observations.
Tokyo Camii (Oct 16), Masjid Otsuka (Oct 8), Masjid Akihabara (Oct 19), Masjid Kabukicho (Oct 16), Fuji Kawaguchiko Masjid (Nov 8), Nagoya Masjid (Sep 5), Osaka Islamic center (Sep 22), Japan Da'wah Centre (Sep 22), and Yuai International Islamic School (Nov. 6).
With collaborating with the Laboratory of Islamic studies at Keio Research Institute at SFC, and "Muslim Symbiosis Project" of Nonaka Seminar set in Faculty of Policy Management and Faculty of Environmental Information Studies, we also held some fruitful academic events with them to establish the network with them. One of them is the 6th Japan Muslim Meeting on December 11, and later we made out the report. The other event is Food Drive held in Masjid Otsuka on March 20.
In addition, Yo Nonaka, a head of this joint research, offered the guest lecture under the title of "Evolving Muslim Community in Japan" on a seminar held by the Faculty of Social and Political Science at University of Indonesia.
