Myers-Briggs Type Indicator（MBTI）®︎は、ユングのタイプ論を基にした性格検査であり、世界的に教育研修、キャリアカウンセリング、チームビルディングなど様々な用途で使用されている。MBTI®︎では性格は外部情報の「認知の仕方」と定義し、MBTI®︎のタイプを理解することは、多様性、自己理解および他者理解を促進する。近年、協働を要する活動において、個々の能力が優れていることよりも、社会感受性が高いチームの方がより良い成果を生むことが明らかになっている。チーム医療では、多職種が協働し、複雑な問題を解決していかなければならないため、個々の社会感受性を高める必要がある。
本研究では、薬学生がMBTI®︎認定ユーザーのもと、インタラクティブな演習を通し、自己理解・他者理解を深めていくための実習プログラムを行う。さらに、社会感受性へ及ぼす影響をアンケート調査で評価する。本研究のアウトカム評価後、次のステップとして対象学生の拡大およびカリキュラム単位化を目指す。
本研究の進捗はやや遅れている。理由として、本研究代表者が日本MBTI協会によるMBTI®︎認定ユーザーとなる必要があり、MBTI®︎トレーニング講座受講から認定試験合格までに時間を要した。現在、慶應義塾大学薬学部の倫理審査委員会へ本研究課題を申請済みであり、承認後、薬学生を公募して実施する予定である。
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®︎), a personality indicator based on Jung's typology, is used widely for a variety of purposes such as education, career counseling, and team building worldwide. MBTI®︎ assess personality based on how the individual judges and perceives outside information. An understanding of each MBTI®︎ personality type can promote the understanding of diversity, the self, and others. Recent studies have suggested that teams with high social sensitivity generate better outcomes on an activity that requires cooperation than do those with competent members. Therefore, it is necessary to develop social sensitivity in members of a multidisciplinary team because they have to resolve several complicated problems in the practice setting. In this study, as an MBTI®︎ certified user, I aim to implement an interactive practice for pharmacy students, to promote their understanding of diversity, the self, and others. In addition, I evaluate changes in their social sensitivity using a questionnaire survey during the interactive practice. Based on the findings, I would like to conduct this practice for several pharmacy students and include it in the curriculum of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Keio University. The commencement of this study was delayed because a representative researcher has to acquire MBTI®︎ certification. Before being certified, I spent a lot of time on attending lectures on MBTI®︎ training to success in that examination. Currently, I have submitted the study protocol to the ethics committee of Keio University's Faculty of Pharmacy. After receiving approval, I will implement this study in the near future.
