３年計画の２年目である2018年度は、昨年度に引き続き、民族学考古学専攻が実施してきた発掘調査の記録や図面、調査・研究の記録、専攻保管資料の利用に関わる文書等の目録作成、デジタル化を進めた。
昨年度目録を作成した研究室棟の２ヶ所の民族学考古学専攻関係の倉庫に保管されている資料（段ボール２０箱程度）のデジタル化（スキャニングと写真撮影）を進めたほか、ガラス乾板の目録作成とデジタル化も開始した。ガラス乾板については、アジア太平洋戦争期の中国の調査に関わるもの、約400点の目録作成とデジタル化が完了した。また、研究室の機材で処理できない大型の図面17点を、専門業者に委託してデジタル化した。
In FY2018, the second year of the three yearly plan, as in the previous fiscal year I had gone ahead with cataloguing and digitalization of the records, documents and drawings of the past excavations and the other various studies which had been conducted by the department of archaeology and ethnology, and the records of usages of the archaeological collections preserved within the department.
In particular, I had proceeded digitalizing (scanning and photographing) the materials (20 document boxes) kept in the two storages in the faculty offices building, which had been catalogued in the previous fiscal year. And I had started cataloguing and digitalizing of the glass photographic plate, and finished about 400 plates which had been taken in the investigation of China during the Asia-Pacific war. In addition, 17 sheets of large size drawings which could not been digitalized by equipment in the department were outsourced to the specialty company.
