様々な障害や疾患、または経済的な問題や家庭の問題などにより必要となる特別な配慮や支援のことをスペシャルニーズと呼び、その人たちを対象としたキャンプのことをスペシャルニーズ・キャンプ（SNC）と呼ぶ。本研究では、SNCを行っている団体を対象にインタビュー調査を行い、SNCの実施状況、キャンプ実施による効果と課題を明らかにすることを目的とした。
インタビュー調査の内容は、団体の概要、キャンプの対象、団体設立の経緯、活動場所、プログラムの概要、スタッフ、スタッフ募集とトレーニング、キャンプ実施による効果、事業継続に向けた課題とした。今年度は、5団体のインタビュー調査を実施することができた。
主な結果は以下の通りである。
１）キャンプの対象は、知的障害・発達障害のある青少年、小児がんを含む慢性疾患の子供とその家族、児童養護施設に通う子どもたちなど多種多様であった。
２）団体設立の経緯としては、いずれもそれぞれが持つ個性に伴う様々な困難を解決するために、自然の中での活動や仲間との交流が重要であると考えた保護者や支援者が団体を立ち上げ、NPO団体、任意団体の形で運営されていた。
３）キャンプの期間は日帰りから10泊まで、プログラムは団体の個性に応じて、冒険プログラムから野外料理、クラフトなど様々なプログラムが実施されていた。
４）スタッフはほとんどが大学生を中心としたボランティアに対して事前研修を行っていた。5団体中3団体が、ボランティアが中心となってプログラムの企画から関わっていた。
５）事業継続に向けた課題として共通に挙げられたのは、設立時スタッフの世代交代に伴う人材の確保、ボランティアの確保、財源の確保であった。特に、すべての費用を受益者負担で賄うことは事業の性質から難しく、助成金や、企業・個人からの寄付等事業収入以外の財源の確保がどの団体においても喫緊の課題であることが明らかになった。
Special needs is the term used in any of various difficulties (such as physical, mental, or developmental disabilities, diseases, illness or problems involving family or financial issues) that causes an individual to require additional or specialized services or accommodations (such as in education or recreation).
The purpose of this study was to conduct an interview survey on the SNC organizations to clarify the implementation status of the SNC and the outcomes and issues of the camp.
the main results are as follows.
1)The subjects of the camp were adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children with chronic diseases including childhood cancer and their families, and children attending nursing homes.
2)The camp period was from day trip to 10 days trip, and programs vary from adventure programs to outdoor cooking and crafts depending on the personality of the group.
3)The issues for the continuation of the camp were securing of human resources, securing of volunteers, securing of financial resources.
