| Abstract |
平成15 年から開始された文部科学省21 世紀COE プログラム「日本・アジアにおける総合政策学先導拠点 −ヒューマンセキュリティの基盤的研究を通じて−」の取組みが平成20 年に終結した。この間、「実践知の学問」としての考え方や、方法論、博士論文審査の基準などを進め、29 名のRA 育成、38 冊の書籍など、具体的な成果をあげた。ヒューマンセキュリティ研究は、問題解決への関与を通じて知を抽出する、総合政策学の方向性と親和性が高く、若手研究者の育成に有効であった。今後、生み出したジャーナルのコンセプトや設立されたラボなどに引き継がれた取組みを進めていくことが重要である。
"Policy Innovation Initiative: Human Security Research in Japan and Asia" that started in 2003 as part of "21st Century Center of Excellence Program (COE Program)", sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology" ended in 2008. In addition to such visible output as development of 29 Ph.D. students and 38 books published, the initiative produced such important outputs as: recognition of policy innovation studies as a clinical endeavor, research methodology to support such studies, and thesis assessment guidelines. The notion of human security proved to be a very effective concept to learn from practice. Young scholars that the initiative developed are expected to build upon the foundations to develop the field in the future.
