Abstract |
腸内細菌叢と腸管免疫担当細胞は相互に作用をしながら, 腸管内代謝産物や腸管ホルモン応答を介して宿主のエネルギー代謝の恒常性維持に寄与をしており, その破綻がエネルギー代謝異常症, すなわち肥満症や糖尿病を引き起こすと考えられた。腸内細菌, 腸管免疫細胞, 腸管内容物が形成する腸内環境を標的とした肥満症や糖尿病の新規治療法開発の方向性が本研究から示された。
Gut microbiome and intestinal immune cells interact with each other and contribute to the maintenance of host energy homeostasis by intestinal metabolites and hormone responses. The breakdown of the balance is supposed to initiate the dysregulation of energy homeostasis such as obesity and diabetes. Our findings indicate that the therapy targeting these components could be a novel strategy to resolve metabolic disorders.
