| Abstract |
不安やパニックといった社会的な場面において生起するさまざまな問題については, その原因が未だ十分に解明されていないのが現状である。その理由として, こうした精神症状の背後にある身体機能の不全が十分に考慮されていない点が挙げられる。そこで本研究では, 複数の学問領域を見据えた融合的な観点から「心－脳－身体」の三者関係を取り上げ, 不安の背後にあるメカニズムの解明を目的とした実験を実施した。一連の研究の結果, 「内受容感覚」が重要な要因になっていること, その機能の実現には主に島皮質が関与すること, 自律神経障害においてもこの部位の機能低下が認められることなどが明らかになった。
Many recent studies have investigated the mechanisms of anxiety and panic symptoms, but causal factors of them remain unresolved. To understanding the neural substrates of anxiety, we focused on the mind-brain-body interactions from integrative perspectives including psychology, psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine. A series of experimental studies using MRI and EEG showed the importance of interoception, the involvement of the insular cortex, and that the dysfunction of this mechanism was observed in autonomic disorders.
