Abstract 
ヒト胎盤関門側底膜にはorganic anion transporter (OAT) 4を介してエストリオール(E3)前駆体 16α-hydroxy dehydroepiandrosterone sulfateを胎児から取り込む機構が存在し、本機構は妊娠期E3合成量の決定因子の一つであることが示唆された。さらに、OAT4の発現には、関門への 分化過程におけるPKAシグナルを介した発現誘導機構が関与することを示唆する知見を得た。以上の結果から、胎盤内分泌機能においてトランスポーターによる胎盤透過性制御が重要な役割を果たすことが明らかとなった。
