研究期間を通じて「舞踏研究の国際的再検証と基盤構築」を推進するべく、海外の現状についての情報収集を積極的に行い、日本における舞踏の展開について国内外の学会や研究集会で情報発信を行った。これによって、ヨーロッパ、アメリカ、アジアにおいて、舞踏の発生から今日に至るまでの過程が発信されると共に、舞踏研究の国際基盤の必要性についての認識が共有された。また、単に舞踏が日本発の前衛パーフォーマンスとして認知されるだけではなく、アカデミズムの中での舞踏研究の国際基盤の構築の展望が見えた。さらに、1970年の舞踏の新資料を発掘し国際公開することで、舞踏研究の方法論を国際的な場で具体的に示すことができた。
Pursuing the research subject "Examination and Construction of the International Basis of Butoh Studies," we have collected the information on the present situation and accumulation of Butoh research of foreign countries, and we have shared the basic information on the making of Butoh performance and our own situation on the academic achievements in Japan in the several international conferences. According to our effort of information sharing, Butoh researchers in Asia, Europe and America got recognized the making and development of Butoh performance, and we have been able to get the perspective of making Butoh researchers' network in international basis.  In addition, we proposed one of the research methods through the process of discovering the new material and reconstructing Butoh performance in 1970.
