Abstract |
熱的にゆらぐ微小系は、コロイド粒子を光学的にトラップした実験や、量子ドットを介した電子系など、様々な物理系に現れる。本研究者はこれらの現実的な系を意識して、熱機関として諸々の物理現象をとらえ、自然界が課す熱力学的な制限を研究した。一般的に時間の要素がない熱力学に、時間の要素を加えたという点が研究の大きな枠組みであり、熱力学的スピード限界の一般論、熱緩和現象における情報論的な制約、熱機関における幾何学量の導入などが主な成果である。
In recent experiments, it is quite common to observe thermally fluctuating small systems, such as colloidal particles in water, electric flow via quantum-dos in nano-scale. Having these experimental situation in mind, we have studied on thermodynamic constraints. We consider on this subject based on heat engines. While thermodynamics is static theory, we made attempt to involve time in this framework. Main results in this direction include general theory of speed limit of thermodynamics, information-theoretical constraint in thermal relaxation processes, and introduction of geometry in heat engines.
