| Abstract |
本研究は、現代の社会変動がもたらす国民国家のシティズンシップの変容をエスニック・マイノリティとマジョリティ国民の関係性の変化という視点から考察することで、日本を含む先進諸国における多民族・多文化共生の社会学的研究に貢献することを目指した。具体的には、移民、難民・庇護申請者、先住民族が国民国家のシティズンシップへと包摂されるあり方がグローバル化と新自由主義の影響によってどのように変容しているのかを、日本とオーストラリアにおける社会学的現地調査と国際比較分析によって明らかにした。
The purpose of this research project was to examine the transformation of citizenship in nation states by contemporary social change. Examining from the perspective of the changing relationships between ethnic minorities and the majority, this project aimed to contribute to the sociological study of multi-ethnic and multicultural co-living in developed countries, including Japan. This project focused on how migrants, refugees/asylum seekers and indigenous peoples are included in the citizenship of the nation-states, and how the way of inclusion is changed by globalization and neoliberalism through the field researches and comparative analysis in Australia and Japan.
