一般用医薬品の添付文書の理解度の向上を目的に, 添付文書の文字色・サイズ・レイアウト・用語の改善とピクトグラムの使用による効果を検討した。初年度は, モデルの添付文書を用いて, アイトラッカーによる視線運動解析から視線の停留・戻り読みなどを分析し, 難解な用語や表現を明らかにした。2年目には用語や表現を改訂した上で, レイアウトや構成上の課題について検討した。3年目は, レイアウトと構成の大幅な変更を行い, さらに8種類のピクトグラムを挿入し, 理解度や誘目性の変化を検討した。その結果, 用語や表現の改訂により, 理解度は向上し, ピクトグラムの挿入により解答探索時間の短縮が得られた。
To improve the comprehension of package inserts of OTC medicines, we examined the effect of modification of font color/size, layout, terminology and use of pictogram. In the first year, we analyzed the eye movements when reading a model package insert to clarify difficult terms and expressions. In the second year, after revision of terms and expressions, we examined layout and composition issues. In the third year, after layout and composition were changed drastically, we examined a new package insert that eight kinds of pictograms were inserted. As a result, by revising terms and expressions, the understanding of the package insert was improved, and search time was shortened by inserting pictograms.
