The purpose of this study was to invoke for "the Acceptance of Disability Theory" which it was keyconcept in medical rehabilitation field for psychological approach of athletic injury. First,  empirical and theoretical researches on the psychological aspects of sports injury, and "the Acceptance of Disability Theory" were reviewed. And, it was made clear that some problems were extracted from injury literatures. Moreover, four values transforming of "the Acceptance of Disability Theory" were reviewed and argued. They were 1)enlarging the scope of values, 2)subordinating physique, 3)transforming comparative values into asset values and 4)containing disability effects. As a result of this review, it was suggested that "the Acceptance of Disability Theory" could be adapted to psychological approach of athletic injury from the common point of view about the loss experience. For future research, it was indicated that development of the original scale, clarification of assessment standard and gathering information about injured athletes are needed to make clear factors related to acceptance of sports injury.
